Sailor Moon and the Sleepy Colors

Kids stories

Sailor Moon, a kind brave girl, meets a gentle Princess in the Enchanted Forest. The forest colors feel sleepy, so they follow sparkles to find soft moonbeams. Together they wake the flowers and mushrooms, and Sailor Moon earns a golden acorn treasure to grow a little star-tree.
Sailor Moon and the Sleepy Colors

Sailor Moon is a girl. She is small, kind, and brave. She likes to help. She also likes shiny things.

One morning, Sailor Moon walks into the Enchanted Forest. The trees whisper, “Hello, hello.” The leaves glitter like tiny stars.

Sailor Moon holds her little bag. “I will find something special today,” she says.

A Princess steps out from behind a fern. The Princess is gentle and calm. She wears a soft cloak that looks like petals.

“Hi, Sailor Moon,” says the Princess.
“Hi, Princess,” says Sailor Moon.

The Princess looks worried. “The forest colors are sleepy,” she says. “Some flowers are pale. Some mushrooms are gray. We need bright moonbeams to wake the colors up.”

Sailor Moon nods. “We can do it. Together.”

They walk on a path of moss. Squish, squish. A squirrel pops up. “Chit-chit!” it says, then runs away.

They reach a little pond. The water is very still. Sailor Moon peeks in. “I see the sky,” she whispers.

The Princess points up. “Moonbeams fall where the light likes to play. Let’s follow the sparkle.”

They follow tiny sparkles on the ground. Sparkle, sparkle. Sailor Moon giggles. “It’s like a trail of glitter!”

A big leaf blocks the path. Sailor Moon is a bit shy. She looks at the leaf and then at the Princess.

The Princess smiles. “Small hands can move big things.”

Sailor Moon takes a deep breath. “Hup!” She pushes. The leaf slides. “I did it!”

Behind it, they find a hollow log. Inside are three soft moonbeams, curled up like sleepy ribbons.

“Hello, moonbeams,” says Sailor Moon. “Please help the forest.”

The moonbeams wiggle. One tickles Sailor Moon’s nose. “Achoo!” she says. The Princess laughs, a quiet laugh.

Sailor Moon carefully scoops the moonbeams into her bag. The bag glows. It is warm like a bedtime blanket.

They hurry to the pale flowers. Sailor Moon opens the bag. “Ready?”

“Ready,” says the Princess.

Sailor Moon lifts her hands. She is brave. “Shine, little moonbeams,” she says.

Whoosh. The moonbeams float out. They dance over the grass. The gray mushrooms turn rosy. The pale flowers turn bright yellow and pink. Even the tree bark looks richer, like chocolate.

The forest whispers, “Thank you, thank you.”

A tiny acorn drops at Sailor Moon’s feet. It is not plain. It is golden and smooth.

The Princess picks it up and places it in Sailor Moon’s palm. “A forest treasure,” she says. “Plant it, and it will grow a small star-tree for you.”

Sailor Moon’s eyes go wide. “A star-tree? For me?”

“For you,” says the Princess. “Because you were kind, and you did not give up.”

Sailor Moon hugs the golden acorn. “I will water it,” she says. “Every day.”

They walk back through the Enchanted Forest. Now the path is bright. The sparkles wink. Sailor Moon feels warm inside and in her hand.

“Goodbye, Princess,” says Sailor Moon.

“Goodbye, brave girl,” says the Princess.

Sailor Moon skips home with her golden acorn treasure, ready to grow her very own star-tree.
