Mami and the Color Seeds of the Amazon

Mami was a small magician. She wore a soft green hat. She was kind and a little shy. Her magic was gentle, like a warm blanket.

Mami lived near the Amazon. The big river said, “Shhh,” and the trees went “whoosh.” Bright birds watched from high leaves.

One morning, Mami looked up. “Oh!” she whispered. The forest looked dull. Not gray, just… less bright.

A tiny frog hopped by. “Colors sleepy,” it croaked.

Mami held her wand close. “I want to help. But what if I do it wrong?”

A friend rolled in on a squeaky cart. It was an Inventor named Tiko. Tiko had round glasses and a big smile. Tiko loved to fix things and build things.

Tiko said, “I have an idea! We can restore colors. We just need the Color Seeds.”

“Color Seeds?” asked Mami.

Tiko nodded. “They are small like beads. They hide in the Amazon. When they wake up, the forest shines.”

Mami took a deep breath. “Okay. We go together.”

They walked on a mossy path. Drip, drip went the leaves. Plop, plop went the water.

They heard a rustle. A monkey peeked out.

Mami said softly, “Hello. Do you see Color Seeds?”

The monkey pointed. “Over there. But careful. Mud is sticky.”

Tiko pulled out a funny invention: a little bridge that folded like a book. “Ta-da!”

Mami giggled. “You are so clever.”

They crossed the mud. On the other side, a big flower drooped.

Mami touched it gently. “Are you tired, flower?”

The flower did not answer, but it smelled sweet.

Tiko listened with a tiny ear-trumpet. “I hear a faint ‘plink’ sound nearby.”

Plink. Plink.

They followed the sound to a hollow log. Inside were three Color Seeds: one red, one blue, one yellow. They were dim.

Mami’s hands shook a little. “I can try a waking spell. A small one.”

Tiko said, “Small is good. I will count with you.”

Mami lifted her wand. “Wake up, little colors. Feel safe. Feel warm.”

Tiko whispered, “One… two… three…”

Mami tapped the log. Tap.

The red seed blinked. The blue seed blinked. The yellow seed blinked.

Then—pop!—they glowed like tiny lights.

The Amazon answered. Leaves turned bright. A bird flashed green and gold. The river looked like it was smiling.

The droopy flower stood tall. “Thank you,” it seemed to say with its petals.

Mami’s eyes grew wide. “I did it! I did not break anything!”

Tiko clapped. “You did it because you were gentle and brave.”

The monkey bounced in. “Shiny!” it chirped.

From the hollow log, more seeds appeared, like a hidden treasure. A whole pouch of Color Seeds, sparkling and safe.

Tiko said, “You can keep them. For later. For rainy days.”

Mami held the pouch. It felt warm in her palm. “A real treasure,” she said.

They walked home under bright Amazon trees. Mami hummed. Tiko rolled the squeaky cart.

Mami looked at the forest and whispered, “Good night, colors. I will watch over you.”

And the Amazon, bright and happy, whispered back, “Shhh.”
