Kids stories

In a castle, Sir Wiggles helps Prince find a missing toy crown. A Dragon appears, but Sir Wiggles stays brave and kind. With a clever ribbon-and-broom trick, the crown is saved, and everyone gets a shiny star reward.
Sir Wiggles and the Missing Snack Crown

Sir Wiggles was a boy in a castle.
The castle had tall doors. The floors were cold stone. The banners went flap, flap.
Sir Wiggles was small, but very brave. He also felt a little shy.
“I can do it,” he whispered.

One morning, something was gone.
The castle crown was missing.
Not a big crown. A tiny toy crown, shiny and gold.
Prince held his hands to his cheeks.
“Oh no! My little crown! I wear it at snack time!”

Sir Wiggles nodded.
“We will find it,” he said.
Prince was quick and silly.
He ran in circles.
“I will help! I will help!”

They looked under a chair.
No crown.
They looked behind a curtain.
No crown.
They looked in a big pot.
Plink! Just a spoon.

Then they heard a sound.
Scratch… scratch… thump.
From the castle hallway.

A Dragon was there.
Not huge, but still a Dragon.
Green scales. Big eyes. Warm breath.
He sniffed the air.
“Sniff… I smell… shine,” said the Dragon.
Prince hid behind Sir Wiggles.
“I do not like that,” Prince said.

Sir Wiggles took a slow breath.
He was scared, but he stayed kind.
“Hello, Dragon,” he said.
“Did you take the toy crown?”

The Dragon blinked.
“I did not take,” he said.
“I found it. It rolled. It went clink-clink.
I followed it. I like clink-clink.”

Prince peeked out.
“So you have it?”

The Dragon shook his head.
“I had it,” he said.
“Then it fell into the castle fountain.
Splash. Now it is down, down.
Water is cold on my nose.”

Sir Wiggles went to the fountain.
The water sparkled.
He could see a small gold glow.
But it was deep.

Prince tried.
He stretched his arm.
“Nope! Too far!”

Sir Wiggles thought.
He was clever.
He found a long ribbon from a banner.
He tied it to a spoon.
He tied the spoon to a broom.
Prince watched with wide eyes.
“That is a funny stick,” Prince said.

Sir Wiggles smiled.
“Quiet, please. I am working.”
He lowered the broom-spoon.
Dip… dip…
Clink!

The toy crown popped up.
Drip, drip.
Sir Wiggles held it high.
“I got it!”

Prince jumped.
“Yay! My snack crown!”
He hugged Sir Wiggles.

The Dragon looked sad.
“I wanted the clink-clink,” he said softly.

Sir Wiggles did not shout.
He did not chase.
He stayed gentle.
“Dragon,” he said, “do you want a shiny thing too?”

Prince nodded fast.
“We can share shinies!”
He ran to a chest.
Inside were stickers.
Gold star stickers.
So many.

Prince gave the Dragon a whole sheet.
“Here,” he said. “Stars!”

The Dragon’s eyes went wide.
“Shiny!”
He stuck one star on his nose.
He sneezed.
“Achoo!”
Everyone laughed.

Then Prince put the toy crown on his head.
Sir Wiggles got a sticker too.
A big gold star on his shirt.
“You are a castle hero,” Prince said.

Sir Wiggles felt warm inside.
Brave. Helpful. Proud.
The Dragon bowed.
“Thank you,” he said.

In the castle, the banners went flap, flap.
And the three friends ate snacks.
With a tiny crown, and many shiny stars.
