Princess Ocean Rae is a girl who loves the sea. She is brave, but also gentle. She listens to little waves.
Today the Ocean is quiet. Too quiet.
“Where is my shiny shell?” Princess Ocean Rae asks. She pats her pocket. No shell.
A soft Doll floats by on a tiny raft. Doll is cozy and kind. Doll hugs a small pillow.
“I will help,” Doll says. “We can look together.”
A second Princess swims up. This Princess is proud and sparkly, but she can be sweet too.
“I am fast,” the Princess says. “I can search!”
They look under a rock. Nothing.
They look behind seaweed. Nothing.
They peek in a bubbly cave. Just bubbles.
Princess Ocean Rae feels a little sad.
Doll takes her hand. “It is okay. We keep going.”
Then they hear a tiny click-clack.
Toy appears. Toy is a wind-up crab toy. Toy can be tricky. Toy pinches the sand and makes little tracks.
Toy says, “Clack clack! I found a pretty thing. Maybe I keep it!”
Princess Ocean Rae stands tall. “Please. That shell is mine. It helps me feel calm.”
Toy wiggles. “I like shiny!”
The other Princess leans close. “Toy, we can share. You can have a treasure too.”
Toy pauses. “A treasure?”
Doll smiles. “Yes. Let’s find you one.”
So they make a plan.
Princess Ocean Rae points to a far place in the Ocean where the water glows green.
They swim, slow and steady.
They pass a sleepy turtle.
They pass a school of tiny fish that go swish-swish.
In a sandy dip, Princess Ocean Rae sees a trail. Little clack marks.
“Toy went this way,” she whispers.
They follow the marks to a coral nook.
Inside is a small pile of things: a button, a pebble, and the shiny shell.
Princess Ocean Rae gasps. “There you are!”
Toy pops out. “Clack! I was keeping it safe.”
Princess Ocean Rae looks at Toy’s tiny face.
“You can keep shiny things,” she says, “but you must ask.”
Toy’s claws droop. “I forgot.”
The other Princess nods. “We can practice asking.”
Toy tries. “May I… please… have a treasure?”
Doll claps softly. “Good asking!”
Princess Ocean Rae looks around. She spots a round chest half-buried in sand. It is small, like a lunch box.
They dig together. Scoop, scoop.
The lid pops open.
Inside are bright sea-glass jewels. Blue, pink, and sunny yellow.
Toy’s eyes go wide. “Shiny!”
Princess Ocean Rae takes her shell back and places it in her pocket.
Then she gives Toy one big sea-glass jewel.
Toy hugs it. “Thank you. I will not grab. I will ask.”
The Ocean feels happy again. The water sounds like a song.
Princess Ocean Rae smiles at Doll and the Princess.
“We did it,” she says.
They swim home with the shiny shell, a new friend, and a pocket full of sea-glass treasures.
