Gia was a little Musician. She was shy, but very brave inside. She held her tiny drum. Tap-tap.
Gia lived near a Secret Cavern. The cavern had cool air. It had shiny stones that winked like eyes.
One day, Gia’s music box key was gone. Her music box would not sing.
“I want my song,” Gia whispered.
A soft voice said, “Hello!” A Genie floated out of a crack in the rock. The Genie was friendly and funny. He wore a scarf that kept slipping off.
“I can help,” said the Genie. “But I sneeze when I think too hard. Achoo!”
Gia giggled. “Please help me find the key.”
They walked into the Secret Cavern. Drip. Drip. The drops sounded like little bells.
In the cavern, they met the Queen. She was calm and kind. Her crown was simple, like a gold circle.
“My Princess is worried,” said the Queen. “A Wizard has been here. He likes to take things and hide them.”
The Princess stepped forward. She was curious and quick. She held a small lantern.
“I saw glitter on the floor,” said the Princess. “Like a trail!”
They followed the glitter trail. Left, right, around a tall stone.
Then—whoosh! A cloak flicked in the dark.
The Wizard appeared. He was grumpy. His beard was long. His hat was too big and kept sliding down.
“I took the key!” he huffed. “No more music. I like quiet.”
Gia’s hands shook a little. Tap-tap, she played her drum anyway. Soft at first.
The Genie whispered, “Try a new sound. Not loud. Gentle.”
Gia nodded. She tapped slow: tap… tap… tap… like a sleepy heart.
The Princess hummed with her. Hmm-hmm.
The Queen clapped once, very soft. Clap.
The cavern listened. The dripping water joined in: drip… drip…
The Wizard blinked.
“That sounds… nice,” he muttered.
Gia took a small step closer. “Wizard, are you lonely?” she asked.
The Wizard’s shoulders drooped. “I… I am. When music plays, I remember I have no friends.”
The Genie’s scarf fell off again. “Then we make friends! Easy-peasy.”
Gia smiled. “Can we have the key back?”
The Wizard held it up. It was silver. It sparkled.
“I will trade,” said the Wizard. “One song… just for me.”
Gia nodded. She played her drum. Tap-tap-tap! The Princess sang la-la-la. The Queen’s voice was warm, like a blanket.
The Wizard’s eyes got wet. “Okay,” he said softly. “Here.”
Gia took the key. “Thank you.”
The cavern suddenly glowed. Hidden in the wall, a small chest popped open with a click!
Inside were tiny star stickers and a little golden bell.
“A treasure!” said the Princess.
Gia put a star sticker on her drum. She rang the bell. Ding!
Back outside, Gia used the key. Her music box sang again.
The Wizard stood nearby, less grumpy now. The Genie waved. “Come visit. We can play gentle music.”
The Wizard nodded.
Gia felt proud. She had been brave. She had found her key. And she had new treasure to keep.
