In the Kingdom, there lived Bandit. Bandit was Dad. He was brave, but also gentle. He liked hugs, warm soup, and fixing little problems.
One sunny morning, Dad Bandit walked near the castle garden. A Princess waved.
“Hello, Dad Bandit!” she said.
“Hello, Princess,” Dad Bandit said. “You look worried.”
The Princess held a small Toy. It was a tiny drum with a red string.
“It won’t play,” she whispered. “No boom-boom.”
The Toy went, “Hmph!” like it was grumpy.
Dad Bandit knelt down.
“We can help,” he said.
The Princess nodded. “Please.”
In the big old tree by the wall, a Tree Spirit peeked out. The Tree Spirit was quiet and kind, with leaf-hair that rustled.
“I heard a sad sound,” the Tree Spirit murmured.
A Guardian Spirit floated beside them. The Guardian Spirit was watchful and calm.
“I keep the paths safe,” said the Guardian Spirit. “I will come too.”
They walked across the Kingdom: past the castle gate, past flowers, past a little bridge. The Toy bounced in the Princess’s hands.
“I am not broken!” the Toy said.
“Maybe you are just stuck,” Dad Bandit said softly.
At the edge of the garden, the Tree Spirit touched the ground.
“Listen,” the Tree Spirit said.
They all listened.
Tap… tap…
A tiny sound hid inside the Toy.
The Guardian Spirit pointed to the red string.
“It is tied in a tight knot,” the Guardian Spirit said.
The Toy huffed. “It’s a super knot.”
Dad Bandit smiled.
“I am patient,” he said.
He held the Toy gently. “May I try?”
The Toy looked away. “Maybe.”
Dad Bandit pulled very slowly.
“Easy,” he whispered.
The Princess held her breath.
The Tree Spirit rustled like a lullaby.
The Guardian Spirit kept the wind still.
But the knot did not move.
The Toy giggled. “Too hard!”
Dad Bandit thought. He was clever when things were tricky.
He asked, “Tree Spirit, do you have something smooth?”
The Tree Spirit offered a tiny drop of sticky sap.
“Just a dot,” the Tree Spirit said.
Dad Bandit put the smallest dot on his fingers.
Now his fingers could grip without pulling too fast.
He turned the knot. Twist… twist…
Pop!
The knot loosened.
The Toy blinked. “Oh.”
Dad Bandit pulled the string once.
BOOM-BOOM!
The drum sang.
The Princess clapped. “It’s back!”
The Toy bounced happily now.
“I am a happy drum!” it said. “Boom-boom!”
The Guardian Spirit nodded. “Kind hands fix many things.”
The Tree Spirit whispered, “And patient hearts.”
The Princess opened a small chest from her pocket. Inside were shiny star stickers and one golden cookie.
“For you, Dad Bandit,” she said.
Dad Bandit laughed. “A treasure!”
He shared the cookie into four little pieces.
They ate together in the Kingdom garden while the Toy played boom-boom, soft and sweet, all day.
